Blakely & Associates is a full-service direct marketing agency located in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. We specialize in fundraising for a wide variety of not-for-profit clients spanning the healthcare field, the arts, developing world relief, overseas causes, environmental, education, etc. We offer numerous direct response services including; direct mail, writing and creative, analytics and research, as well as donor base management. Account Director
Between 7 and 9

Are you into working between 7 and 9? These aren't our hours, it's our location. We are Blakely & Associates Inc. – an industry leading, full-service direct response marketing agency located in Aurora – north of Hwy 7 and south of Hwy 9.

Blakely & Associates is fast-paced and deadline driven, and we need YOU – a highly skilled Account Director – to manage and execute integrated programs for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Primary contact for assigned accounts, you will manage client profiles and update senior management on potential growth opportunities
  • You will manage and execute strategically planned, integrated direct response marketing programs
  • You will assist in budget preparation and will monitor expectations and expenditures throughout the fiscal year
  • Working with the senior management team, you will develop and lead presentations for new business within assigned accounts
  • Oversee, review and inspire new processes to ensure clients receive the best possible service
Qualifications
  • Post Secondary completion and a minimum of five years' related experience within a not-for-profit organization on direct mail marketing campaigns or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated project-management ability
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills
  • Excellent business results orientation in order to achieve sales/profits and provide a high level of customer service Ability to work effectively and motivate within the team to achieve objectives
  • Ability to work flexible hours, when necessary
  • Ability to operate a computer and use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of online marketing and social media an asset

Executive Assistant/Receptionist
Location: Aurora, Ontario

Responsibilities

Blakely & Associates Inc. is a full-service direct response marketing agency. We have helped not-for-profit clients achieve their fundraising goals for over 18 years. We have a talented team that can grow clients' programs and exceed expectations. Together with our partners, we bring a wealth of experience to the table that helps them build lifelong and meaningful relationships with their donors. We are seeking a highly competent and seasoned Executive Assistant/Receptionist to provide support services for the Leadership Team and perform daily Reception duties within the company.
  • Greets visitors/clients, handles incoming calls and arranges courier deliveries/shipments
  • Makes travel/accommodation/meeting/hospitality arrangements
  • Prepares correspondence, presentations, emails and reports
  • Coordinates, organizes and distributes proposals, presentations, promotional materials and related print documents
  • Distributes company mail and maintains office files/databases
  • Prepares trade show/conference materials and records registrants
  • Prepares agendas, takes minutes at staff meetings and distributes results
  • Completes bank deposits, maintains petty cash and mails accounting documents
  • Coordinates company moves, maintains office equipment, tracks office supplies/inventory and liaises with the Property Manager
  • Provides support services on campaigns and special direct marketing projects, as required
  • Coordinates and organizes company social events
  • Provides support services to staff within other departments with overflow work, as needed
  • Maintains the company lunch room ensuring cleanliness and equipment is in good working order
Qualifications
  • College diploma (i.e. Business Administration) and a minimum of 10 years' related support services experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the direct marketing industry an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer-service ability, both internal and external, to ensure client satisfaction
  • Ability to multi-task, work with details, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Good knowledge of MS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) including databases
  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle confidential information and material
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours, when necessary
